A father of three—with two well-mannered pups of his own—he understands firsthand how harmony at home begins with trust on the leash. In May 2020, that vision became reality when he launched Unite Canine. Five years later, he’s guided 2,000-plus dogs (and counting) toward calmer, happier lives, earning 135+ five-star reviews across 125 training programs and a remarkable 100 percent client-satisfaction record. Changing Perceptions
Sparked out of a dream to change peoples perception of a breed and show that any breed can be a wonderful member of a family and society (His own dog)
Humble Beginnings
Started small just training family, friends and parents farm clients
Catalyst Client
A client of his parents (a dog groomer herself) was the driving force in Colton becoming a trainer as she insisted he train her puppy and she started sending clients his way
Expanding Team
Fastforward 7 years, Unite Canine Training has grown from 1 trainer (Colton) and very part time to 4 trainers (Erin, Mackenzie and Naz) and has trained over 1500 dogs across North American
Rescue Partnerships
Unite Canine training is currently working with a local rescue providing them training for the dogs they safe to better help with adoption and the pets overall life satisfaction
Online Expansion
Unite continues to grow and evolve as they just launched their first online training course that can now reach anyone anywhere who is feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or in many cases hopeless – this program is geared to help create calm, confident loving well mannered family companions

Owner / Head Trainer

Colton Kahle

  • Grew up in langley on a farm
  • Grew up working in my family business training horses…
  • Grew up in langley on a farm
  • Grew up working in my family business training horses and riders
  • Started riding and training when I was 3
  • Trained our farm dogs 
  • Hard work and customer service was the job
  • Played hockey
  • Girlfriend at the time, (now wife) we Adopted our first dog together Hugo (2017) – he was a 6 month old staff Great Dane cross and living on the farm people immediately had a preconceived notion of him and that’s when I realized I wanted to train Hugo to change peoples perception of Pitbulls and that sparked Unite Canine Training (2019)
  • Started out as a side business that was meant to help farm clients and there dogs has quickly grew to one day opening a fully sufficient rescue and has to date resulted in training 1500 + dogs, moving from part time to full time (left my employed job in December 2022), retired my wife to be able to choose to be a mom, home with my kids to do the most important job a man can do – be a father to their kids, and live and work out of a beautiful small acreage in langley 
  • Currently donating time and trainer resources to a local rescue where we training 14 feral chihuahuas and will continue to help rescues as part of his commitment to giving dogs a second chance at life
  • Goals: continue to be helping families create Calm, confident, well mannered family pets they thoroughly enjoy being having around and working towards opening up a world class dog rehabilitation and rescue centre 

Trainer

Erin

  • Grew up loving acting, singing, and dancing. I act and model on the side when not training dogs. 
  • Worked with animals whole life (chickens, dogs, cats, horses)
  • I have been a groomer, and worked at multiple shelters and dog kennels
  • I am also currently a groomer offering services 
  • Going to school for psychology and planning on progressing to a master in animal psychology 
  • Has been here since June 2025
  • Interested in service dogs and dog sniff work 
  • I am amazing 
  • Grew up in a dutch household, first generation dutch Canadian 
  • Getting married in May 2026! (Meet him in New Zealand at Bible Collage)
  • Love adventures (hiking, camping, splunking, climbing, etc) and doing new crazy things (trying new food, if you have an recommendations let me know and ill go try it no matter how crazy! Give me a challenge! 🙂 )

Mackenzie

  • Has always had a passion for animals, grew up with many dogs and cats around and would teach them tricks 
  • Been Training with Unite Canine Training for 2 years
  • Enjoys hiking, listening to music, playing games 
  • Has a dog named bowie and a cat named mountain
  • Was a girl guide for many years, volunteered with many organizations helping out people, animals, and the environment.

Naz

  • Volunteered with Kindred Farm Sanctuary, caring for a variety of farm animals including horses, cows, sheep, and chickens
  • Been working with Unite Canine Training for approximately 1.5 months

  • Currently a student at UFV studying Psychology

  • Enjoys baking, hiking, and spending time in nature

  • Has always been an animal lover and enjoys caring for animals

  • Has two dogs, Benny and Louie, and loves spending time with them
